PARIS — A Lewiston man was sentenced Tuesday morning at Oxford County Superior Court to five years in prison for criminal conspiracy to commit drug trafficking.
Quinton Joseph, 32, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a single count of Class B criminal conspiracy, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Joseph had all but 60 days suspended from his sentence and received three years of probation as part of the guilty plea.
According to an affidavit by Lt. Chancey Libby of the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, Joseph was one of seven people arrested in Rumford in March 2017 in a drug bust that yielded more than 100 grams of crack cocaine, cash and a loaded firearm.
Libby wrote that on March 1, 2017, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Rumford and Mexico Police Departments and the Maine State Police executed a search warrant at the house of Mexico residents Randy Aron and Jessica Pare and discovered crack cocaine, along with a loaded handgun.
Following her arrest, Pare admitted selling crack cocaine for Joseph and Aron.
Joseph, who used to live on Maine Avenue in Rumford, was arrested in Lewiston with three grams of crack cocaine, $1,000 in cash and scales.
