TURNER — Quarterback Wyatt Hathaway ran for 106 yards and threw for 183 yards to lead Leavitt to a 25-6 victory over Nokomis in football action Friday evening.

Stephen Gray added five points on the board with a pair of point afters and a field goal for the Hornets.

Gray also had an interception, while Cam Jordan and Hunter Hayes each recovered fumbles. Tommy Casey had 10 tackles on defense for Leavitt.

Chance Graves scored the lone Nokomis touchdown on a pass from Andrew Haining.

Lake Region 35, Gray-New Gloucester 12

NAPLES — Ethan McMurray ran for two touchdowns and the Lakers (1-4) scored the last 35 points to beat the Patriots (0-5) in Naples.

McMurray’s 38-yard run midway through the third quarter gave Lake Region a 28-12 lead. Chase Weese followed with a 50-yard TD early in the fourth.

Field hockey

Lake Region 4, Poland 1

POLAND — Delaney Meserve bagged a pair of goals to lead Lake Region to a 4-1 victory over Poland in field hockey action Friday.

The Lakers (8-4) took a 3-0 lead at halftime. Paige Davis and Gabi Hall each found the back of the net to complement Meserve’s first half tally.

Sophie Patenaude converted a relay from Autumn Willis for the Knights (5-5) to spoil the shutout.

Goalie Ashton Sturtevant had 25 saves for Poland, while Katie Keenan stopped six to earn the win in net for Lake Region.

Lisbon 2, Hall-Dale 1

FARMINGDALE — Averi Baker scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs in an MVC loss to the Greyhounds.

Sadie Hardt and Amelia Moorey each tallied goals for Lisbon (5-6).

Lauren Hendrickson had an assist for Hall-Dale (2-10).

Mountain Valley 8, Telstar 0

RUMFORD — Rylee Sevigny scored four goals and Mountain Valley shut out Telstar 8-0 in an MVC field hockey matchup Friday.

Avery Sevigny also had two goals and two assists for the Falcons (9-3). Faith Riddick contributed a goal and an assist, and Bre Burgess scored one goal.

Perry Morton was a workhorse in goal for Telstar (0-11), stopping 25 shots.

Spruce Mountain 4, Dirigo 3

JAY — Emily Castonguay scored with 1:26 remaining to give Spruce Mountain a 4-3 win over Dirigo in a fast-paced, back-and-forth field hockey contest Friday.

Castonguay also assisted on the first of Auri Armandi’s two goals for the Phoenix (8-4). Emily White contributed a goal and an assist.

Taylor Bryant, Sophia Jacques and Page Lueders each scored goal for the Cougars (8-5). Dirigo had only three corners, but converted two of those to goals.

Both goalies were busy. Dirigo’s Allie Dyke stopped eight shots, and Spruce’s Melissa Bamford saved four.

St. Dominic 3, North Yarmouth Academy 1

YARMOUTH — Caroline Johnson scored two goals, one unassisted, and Paige Cote put up a third to help give the Saints (7-2) a 3-1 victory over the Panthers (4-6) in field hockey Friday.

St. Dom’s (7-2) dominated the entire game offensively with a 23-6 advantage in shots on goal, as well as 14 corners to North Yarmouth’s six.

Kylie Rogers made 20 saves for the Panthers. Katie Larson got them on the board to avoid a shutout.

Boys’ soccer

Leavitt 2, Morse 2, tie

BATH — Morse (3-4-3) and Leavitt (2-4-4) remained at a stalemate, with both teams making 13 shots on goal and four corners, finally ending in a 2-2 tie in boys’ varsity soccer action Friday.

Ian Redstone put up the two goals for Leavitt, assisted by Garrett Addison on both.

Sheamus Mann made one goal for Morse, and Asa Hodgdon scored the second on a penalty kick.

Miles Bobbe was in net for Morse and Blaine Clark for the Hornets. Both goalies made 11 saves.

Girls’ soccer

Morse 3, Leavitt 2

TURNER — Junior midfielder Emily Martin scored a pair of goals to lift Morse to a 3-2 victory over Leavitt in girls’ soccer action Friday.

The Shipbuilders scored two goals in the final three minutes of the first half to knot up the game at 2-2.

Martin netted the first goal of the game, and capped off the scoring with the game-winning tally at the 17:40 mark in the second half.

Freshman Katie Blouin scored her first career goal and Leah Maheux collected a goal and an assist for the Hornets.

Goalie Shelby Varney made seven saves for Leavitt, while Abby Sreden also turned back seven to earn the win in net for Morse.

Mt. Abram 1, Spruce Mountain 0

SALEM — After a scoreless first half, Alice Cockerham got Mt. Abram on the scoreboard with 7:51 left in the game to give the Roadrunners a 1-0 win over Spruce Mountain in girls’ soccer action Friday.

Emily Kidd made 11 saves in goal for the Roadrunners, keeping the Phoenix at bay and ending the game in a shutout.

Spruce Mountain goalie Annabelle Collins stopped 10 shots.

Telstar 4, Mountain Valley 2

RUMFORD — Aneah Bartlett had a hat trick to lift Telstar to a 4-2 victory over Mountain Valley in girls’ soccer Friday.

Calla Orino also scored for the Rebels (4-7).

Lilly White scored for the Falcons off an assist from Saydie Garbarini. Kassi-Jo Burgess also had a goal for Mountain Valley (1-9), with Courtney Therrien picking up an assist.

Luci Rothwell made three saves for Telstar, while Taylor Henry made seven saves in the losing effort.
