Maine needs a strong but compassionate governor who can lead with vision and an understanding of the issues facing the state’s citizenry and communities. Janet Mills is that person and I am eager to vote for her this November.

I have witnessed Mills’ service as a public prosecutor, a private attorney, a state legislator, and the state’s attorney general. She has done much for Maine in those roles.

She has made laws and funded budgets through bipartisan cooperation rather than polarization. She has upheld laws and improved their application. She has made life better for the people of Maine by joining other states in securing settlement funds, refusing to support legally questionable executive actions, and personally delivering Narcan to police in order to save lives and block addiction.

For those reasons, I will be voting for Janet Mills. I know she will be an effective, caring and unifying governor.
