PARIS — This week at Responsible Pet Care, MacKenzie is observing her second anniversary, but it’s not a date to celebrate. MacKenzie has been a guest at Responsible Pet Care for two years and is one of the long-timers at the shelter.

Six-year-old MacKenzie is a calico beauty. She came into the shelter as a stray. While she is a quiet cat, she does enjoy being engaged in conversation. She particularly likes it when the children from the Paris Elementary School come into the shelter and read to the cats. When she is being read to, she will come to the edge of her kennel and listen to the story as if she were waiting for the happy ending.

There is no good reason why MacKenzie has not been adopted. Sometimes it just happens that a cat will be overlooked for a long time. Then, all of a sudden, someone will come into the shelter and fall in love. The shelter would love to see MacKenzie get her own happy ending, or happy tail beginning.
