NAPLES — Cooper Keene, Daulton Bolduc and Jay Hawkes scored one goal apiece as Poland dispatched Lake Region 3-2 in boys’ soccer action Thursday.

The Knights had 20 shots on goal, while the Lakers only managed five shots in the losing effort.

Richmond 6, Rangeley 0

RICHMOND — Dakotah Gilpatric’s hat trick had the Bobcats off and running to the East/West Conference boys’ soccer win Thursday.

Dan Stewart added a pair of goals for Richmond (6-3-1), while Cole Alexander also scored. Kyle Underhill-Tilton made two saves to post the shutout.

James Hathaway stopped 11 shots in the goal for Rangeley (2-5-1).

Girls’ soccer

Carrabec 4, Mountain Valley 0

RUMFORD — Carrabec pulled away from Mountain Valley in the second half with three goals to win 4-0 on in a girls’ soccer game Thursday.

Lauren Chesnut paced Carrabec (5-5-2) with two goals, while Anastasia Quimby and Makayla Bicneire each found the back of the net once.

Mountain Valley (1-10) goalkeeper Taylor Henry saved 28 shots in the loss. On the other end of the field was Chantelle Lacroix, who saved two shots.

Monmouth 6, Dirigo 0

DIXFIELD — Alicen Burnham scored three goals to lead the Mustangs to a win over the Cougars on Thursday.

Audrey Fletcher, Abbie Crawford and Jordyn Gowell each had goals for Monmouth (9-1-0).

Katie Morse made 28 saves for Dirigo (0-11-0).

RICHMOND — Caitlin Kendrick scored on a penalty kick and Abby Johnson added an insurance goal to lead the host Bobcats to the East/West Conference win.

Liz Johnson made one save for Richmond (8-1-1), while Amber Morrill stopped nine shots for Rangeley (5-3-1).

Spruce Mountain 2, Winthrop 2, tie

WINTHROP — Aaliyah WilsonFalcone and Jillian Schmelzer each scored as the host Ramblers salvaged a tie with the Phoenix.

Calley Baker and Jaycee Cole had the goals for Spruce Mountain (6-5-1).

Brooke Turnham stopped 10 shots for Winthrop (8-3-1), while Annabelle Collins made 13 saves for the Phoenix.

Belfast 2, Leavitt 1

TURNER — Belfast came from behind Thursday to beat Leavitt 2-1 in a Class B field hockey match.

Tamra Benson scored first off of a Leavitt (7-6) corner in the first half to take a 1-0 lead. Belfast (10-1) tied the game with 13 minutes remaining in the half off the stick of Mallory Tibbets.

In the second half, Lindsay Bruns scored the game-winner via an assist by Hannah Banks.

Malory Casey saved 18 shots for Leavitt, while Brook Richards saved nine in the win.

Freeport 5, Gray-New Gloucester 1

FREEPORT — Hannah Groves had two goals and an assist, and Natalie Anderson added a goal and two assists for the Falcons (10-2-1) against the Patriots (3-9) in field hockey action Thursday.

Alexa Koenig chipped in with a goal and an assist, and Amelia Farrin scored the other Freeport goal.

Jaida Patterson got the Patriots’ goal.

Freeport’s Katelyn Rouleau made two saves. GNG keeper Mackenzie Baston had 13 saves.

Fryeburg 2, Poland 0

FRYEBURG — Kaylee Emery set up a first-half goal and scored in the second half for the Raiders (9-2-1) in a win over the Knights (5-6).

Abigail Hewes scored 13 minutes into the game, flicking home Emery’s penalty corner. Emery increased the lead with 20 minutes left, tapping in a shot by Kirsten Wentworth.

Bailey Richardson made two saves for Fryeburg. Ashton Sturtevant had 10 saves for the Knights.

Skowhegan 4, Mt. Blue 2

SKOWHEGAN — Adelle Foss scored a pair of goals and assisted on another as the unbeaten Indians won the KVAC field hockey game Thursday.

Alexis Michonski and Lizzie York also scored for Skowhegan (13-0-0).

Ellie Pelletier scored both goals for Mt. Blue (8-3-1).
