Pallets of food were recently donated to Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn as part of Ocean State Job Lot’s Three Square Meals initiative. According to the Rhode Island-based retailer, the initiative is the single largest food assistance program of its kind in the region, delivering more than 8 million pounds of food and 11 million meals annually to food banks in the eight Northeast states where Ocean State Job Lot stores are located. Maine receives more than 300,000 donated meals annually through the program.
