LEWISTON — Diantha J. Sargent (DJ), 78, of Lewiston passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 5. She was born in Quincy, Mass., on Oct. 12, 1939.
She had worked at St Mary’s and later retired from CMMC.
DJ was always quick to say what was on her mind. She had an incredible sense of humor and would make friends wherever she went. She joked and conversed with all who she came in contact with, and was beloved by all. She was also amazingly resilient and independent.
She fought her pain and illness with tenacity. DJ was an absolute inspiration and a truly wonderful, generous woman.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Theriault, and husband, Don, of Litchfield; loving companion of 17 years, Fern Rodrigue, of Lewiston; grandson, Brandon Hinkley, and wife, Amanda; grandchildren Savannah and Madelynn of Winthrop; sister, Pamela Sargent, of East Bridgwater, Mass.; nieces Beth Brigham of East Bridgewater, and Tracy Sandsbury of Nashua, N.H.; and many more nieces, nephews and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Ruby Sargent; her sister, Doris Ford; and brother, Kenneth M. Sargent Sr.
