AUBURN — Police charged a 17-year-old boy Thursday afternoon after he reportedly displayed a gun near Cumberland Farms on Center Street.
Police initially responded to a reported disturbance at the store shortly before noon. Witnesses told the officers that as he drove away from the store, the teen displayed a weapon.
Within 30 minutes, police said, they had tracked down the suspect and brought him to the station to be questioned. He was then issued a summons on a charge of threatening display of a concealed weapon.
The teen was released into the care of a parent, police said. Officers did not say what kind of a gun had been displayed.
