Sen. Susan Collins came to the only logical and sensible decision as it pertained to Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Christine Blasey Ford did not have any evidence to substantiate her claims; her four witnesses could not corroborate her story — one of whom was her best friend. None of them had any memory or recollection of her accusations.

Presumption of innocence is a right for everyone in this great nation. If people were to be convicted or punished on accusations alone, without any proof or evidence, the nation’s prisons would be overflowing.

I offer my thanks to Sen. Collins for standing up for what is right and just.
