LEWISTON — Sazerac’s Boston Brands of Maine plant recently received ISO 9001 certification. The ISO 9001 certification enables increased productivity and plant efficiencies. It is a frequently-used supply-chain management requirement that ensures customers receive consistent, good quality products and services. The certification is designed to lower unnecessary costs, increase reliability of systems and allow for continuous improvements. It also ensures that all applicable regulations are followed.
Boston Brands of Maine bottles a variety of products for the Sazerac Company. There are 150 full-time and 130 part-time employees located at the facility. The IS0 9001 certification complements the recent $1 million expansion of the facility.
