Maine Senate District 18 has a clear choice on Nov. 6: Jim Wilfong.

Since his service in the State House years ago, Wilfong has gone on to work on a number of state and federal commissions, supporting small businesses, the local economy and veterans. He has taught entrepreneurship programs at both the university and high school levels.

He has maintained a steadfast interest in conserving all the qualities people associate with rural Maine and would be an excellent representative for all of western Maine.

Perhaps more importantly, the district needs someone who will go to Augusta and do what he says he will do to support his constituents, not a senator who says one thing in the district then votes the party line at the State House. Residents can count on Wilfong to represent their interests.

I support Jim Wilfong for Senate District 18.
