FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter has announced its Pets of the Week.

Dog of the Week Smudge is a 2-year-old male collie/Labrador mix. He’s energetic and playful and needs a structured home for training, where there are teens over age 15 and no other dogs or cats.

Bruno, a 6-year-old male, is the Cat of the Week. He loves to play.

Smudge, Bruno and other pets are available for visits from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, microchipped and have had nail trims.

The shelter also finds homes for barn cats, livestock and other pets.
