After President Donald Trump’s embarrassing press conference Wednesday, it brought to mind a couple of pivotal scenes from the movie, “The Godfather.”
Trump pointed out candidates who did not want “the embrace” — similar to when people filed in to see Don Corleone and kissed his ring as a sign of submission. However, in reality, in accepting Trump’s embrace it is more like when Michael Corleone kisses and embraces his brother Fredo as a sign of Fredo’s demise.
I believe that Trump is on his way down, and any Republican that continues to stand by him will go down with him.
Also, Trump should not have the right to deny a reporter from CNN access to briefings. All the reporters should band together and agree that it is all or none.
