BATH — Lisa Rock and her tribute band will bring their classic repertoire of the Carpenters’ holiday music to the Chocolate Church Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7.
Karen and Richard Carpenter often kept things simple on stage, performing as just a duo. But to create the full, rich sound they are known and loved for on their albums and in their television specials, they had several additional musicians join in, making lush arrangements. To bring listeners that same sound, the Carpenters’ Christmas features Lisa Rock on lead vocals with her six-piece backing band.
Songs that are likely for the show include “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town,” “(There’s No Place Like) Home for the Holidays” and “Merry Christmas Darling.”
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Visit chocolatechurcharts.org or call the box office at 207-442-8455 to reserve tickets.
The center is at 804 Washington St.
