Marjorie L. Puiia

1919 – 2018

RUMFORD – Marjorie L. Puiia, 98, of Holyoke Avenue, left this world peacefully to join loved ones in Heaven on Friday Nov. 16, 2018. She was born in Bath, on Dec. 4, 1919, a daughter of Harold V. and Laura A. (Day) Fish.

Marjorie was educated in Bethel schools and was a Graduate of Gould Academy. She married Eugene Puiia. He passed away on Aug. 20, 1987. Marjorie was a Communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. She enjoyed spending time at her camp at Howard Pond, sewing, dancing, fishing, playing cards, trips to Canada, and rides to Paradise Lane in Bethel.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Dorothy “Dolly” Colton and companion, John Ross of Rumford; sons, Larry Puiia and wife, Marcelle of Rumford, Wayne Puiia of Rumford, Barry Puiia and wife, Bernadette of Winslow, Gregory Puiia and wife, Pamela of Hanover; grandchildren, Megan, Nicole, Brittany, Samantha, Cory, Jimmy, Cheryl, Paul and wife, Shannon, Heidi and husband, Matt, Dr. Adam Puiia and wife, Allison; great-grandchildren, Maya and Elissia, Christian and Katie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Puiia; her parents; and a sister, Dorothy Palmer.
