Joseph A. Bisson

1928 – 2018

LEWISTON – Joseph A. Bisson, 90, of Rogers Street, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018 at the Marshwood Center.

He was born in Brunswick, on Jan. 15, 1928, the son of the late Arthur and Odile (Helie) Bisson. He grew up in Topsham on the Meadow Road. Joseph was a milkman and farmer on his parent’s farm, Beachwood Farm.

On Nov. 27, 1947 he married Alice Ouellette. She died Oct. 19, 2018. Joseph enjoyed socializing.

He was a communicate of St. John’s the Baptist Church-All Saints Parish and the Knights of Columbus.

Together they had six children, Richard, Annette Harriman, Jean-Paul, Claire Bell, Normand and Pauline Roeberge. In addition to his children, he is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also predeceased by a sister, Lucille Bisson Perreault, his brother, Paul Bisson; and a nephew, Leo-Paul Perreault.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday, November 25, from 2-6 p.m., at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 26, at 11 a.m., at St. John’s the Baptist Church – All Saints Parish, 39 Pleasant Street, Brunswick. A reception will immediately follow the funeral at St. Charles Borromeo Church Parish Hall 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick.  Private interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Brunswick.
