TOPSHAM — Lewiston resident Beth Wood has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as vice president, compliance manager.
Working from the bank’s Topsham branch, she helps coordinate the bank’s overall compliance management system. She oversees the work of team members, monitors and responds to new and changing regulations and ensures policies and procedures are up to date so banking operations run smoothly.
Wood started her banking career in 2010 at Dirigo Federal Credit Union. During her eight-year tenure there, she rose to the position of compliance officer serving on their risk, IT and physical security committees. She is a certified BSA specialist and holds a bachelor’s degree from Kaplan University and is working toward her Masters in Business Administration degree at the New England College of Business, with a concentration in compliance and ethics.
She is an active member of the Young Professionals of Lewiston-Auburn Area and Young Professionals Network. She enjoys outdoor activities with her family, such as hiking, boating and relaxing on the beach.
