Democrats to meet, celebrate

LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

This brief meeting will be followed by a holiday celebration with the Lewiston City Democratic Committee.

Androscoggin County Democrats and other interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Cub Scout Pack plans toy drive

LEWISTON — Cub Scout Pack 116 will hold its third annual a toy drive and holiday ornament workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Lewiston Public Library in the children’s department.

There will be ornament-making, crafts, face painting and candy canes. Those attending bring a new, unwrapped toy, which will be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, and distributed to local families in need.

IHM Golden Age Club party

LEWISTON — The Immaculate Heart of Mary Golden Age Club will have its Christmas party Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Marco’s Italian Restaurant on Mollison Way.

There will be singing, food and a gift swap with a $10 maximum per gift. 

The social hour will be from 11 a.m. to noon, and lunch will be ordered at 11:45 a.m. The gift swap will follow the meal.

Cost for meal, which may be buffet style picked from a special menu will be $13.25 plus tax and gratuity.
