AUBURN – Pauline Gosselin, 77, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2018 at the Clover Living Center as a result of complications associated with dementia.

Pauline was born in Lewiston on April 20, 1941, to Emilien and Beatrice (Guerin) Labrecque.  She was a lifelong resident where she attended elementary school at St. Peter’s and graduated from St. Dom’s High School. On Oct. 7, 1961, she married Raymond Gosselin. Together they raised four children and were active members of Prince of Peace parish in Lewiston. She worked as a part-time bookkeeper for Bedard’s Pharmacy for many years and transitioned to TD Bank through to her retirement.

Throughout her life, Pauline enjoyed many crafts and hobbies such as ceramics, cake decorating, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She was passionate about holidays, especially Christmas. Whether it was decorating the house or the tree or buying presents for family and friends, Pauline always wanted to make it a “perfect” Christmas for everyone! Socially, one of her favorite events were her and Ray’s monthly “get togethers” with a core group of friends which she lovingly nicknamed “The Group”. They very much enjoyed their evenings of dinner and games and would immediately look forward to their next opportunity to get together.

Pauline’s five grandchildren were a source of pride for her. She constantly supported all of their varied interests, whether it was sports, theater or music. As Memere, she simply wanted her grandkids to know that she was always there for them.

Pauline leaves behind her dedicated and loving husband of 57 years, Raymond; her two daughters, Rachel (Gosselin) Belanger and husband, Normand; Diane (Gosselin) Cavanaugh and husband, Stephen; sons, Norman Gosselin and his wife, Jennifer; Marc Gosselin and longtime girlfriend, Jessica Marr (loved as a “daughter-in-law” to Ray and “sister-in-law” to Rachel, Diane and Norm). She also leaves behind her five grandchildren: Stephanie, Christopher and Christine Belanger and Rebecca and Nicholas Cavanaugh.

She was predeceased by her parents, Emilien and Beatrice Labrecque; along with, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
