AUBURN – David S. Audet, 57, of Auburn and formerly of Poland, died on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at the Clover Manor in Auburn, following a long illness. Born in Lewiston on Nov. 14, 1961, he was the son of Robert and Laura Libbe Audet. David was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Edward Little High School.

He worked for many years at General Electric as a materials handler and forklift operator, retiring due to ill health. On May 4, 1984, he married the love of his life, the former Elaine Godin, who passed away on July 3, 2008. David loved cars, especially Corvettes, and also loved John Deere tractors. He also enjoyed going to country music concerts.

Survivors include his mother, Laura Audet of Auburn; a son, Malcom D. Audet of Lewiston; two brothers, Bruce and wife Louise of Minot, and Brian of Auburn, three sisters, Shirley and husband, Ray Biron of Auburn, Brenda and husband, Maurice Cote of Auburn, and Darlene and husband Frank Roy of Poland; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Wednesday, 9-11 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery. Donations and condolences may be found online at www.albert-burpee.com.
