A request for a boat launch at Great Works Stream is being explored in Bradley.

Bradley resident and Great Works Stream camp owner Rick Trimm recently approached Town Manager Melissa Doane asking for the town’s assistance in getting a boat landing at the Great Works launch site. Trimm said he had been working with the state to get approval; the site would have no cost to the town, but the town would need to apply for the grant. Doane told councilors last week she had been in contact with the state and is waiting for additional information.

Councilor Mark Ketch wondered where the launch could be located in the site, as it is all ledge. Doane said she did not know, but was looking for approval to use her time to explore the option. Councilors gave approval.

Doane added that the possibility of a boat launching site could be explored in the ballfield area as well.
