LIVERMORE FALLS — A local man is accused of threatening to shoot a relative and a dog that came onto his property, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Wednesday.

Jacob Hiscock, 33, of Haines Corner Road was charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal threatening, and is scheduled to appear in Lewiston District Court on Feb. 13, 2019. A conviction on either charge is punishable by up to 364 days in jail.

Steward said Hiscock and his relative, who lives next door, were fighting over a dog being on Hiscock’s property Tuesday afternoon. The relative told police Hiscock had a shotgun and threatened to use it. Hiscock also assaulted the relative, according to police.

Steward assisted Lt. Joseph Sage who investigated.
