DERRY, N.H. – Priscilla A. (Perreault) Vachon, 89, of Derry, N.H., formerly of Auburn, died peacefully on Dec. 13, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late, Roger A. Vachon, who died in 2006.

Mrs. Vachon was born in Auburn on Aug. 7, 1929, the daughter of the late, Joseph and Antoinette (Poirier) Perreault. She was educated in Auburn schools and worked at the Continental Mill.

In 1952, she and her late husband, Roger, moved to Connecticut where they resided for 39 years. While in Connecticut, she was employed at the Norden Division of United Aircraft, Picker International and Pratt & Whitney. During the 1960s, she took pride in working on critical components for the space program which helped the lunar module land on the moon. During their retirement, they enjoyed living in Maine, Florida and New Hampshire.

During the last nine years of her life, she lived at Birch Heights Retirement Community in Derry, where she served as a Resident Ambassador, welcoming hundreds of new residents to the Birch Heights community. She took pride in being able to remember the names of every resident.

Priscilla is survived by one son, Robert A. Vachon and his wife, Deborah of Hampstead, N.H.; a grandson, Christopher R. Vachon and his partner, Jillian Jackson of Stoddard, N.H., a granddaughter Danielle Meri; and her daughters, Emily Whiting and Savannah Whiting of Salem, N.H.; a grandson, William J. McLaughlin, his wife, Meghan and their children Molly and Charlie of Barnstable, Mass.; a granddaughter, Rebecca L. McLaughlin of Danville, N.H., a grandson, Douglas P. McLaughlin and his wife, Leslie of Natick, Mass. and a granddaughter, Amy C. McLaughlin of Derry, N.H.

She is also survived by her sisters, Rita Weinz, Paula Couture and Patricia Cowell and her husband, Paul. During her life, Priscilla was also blessed with the love of many nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Family and friends may gather to share stories and fond memories from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Wednesday, December 19, at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston. Visitation will immediately be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at Holy Cross Church, 1080 Lisbon Street, Lewiston. Committal will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
