STANDISH – Constance “Connie” (Caron) Butler, 84, of Standish, formerly of Lewiston, passed away on Dec. 11, 2018, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Lewiston on August 23, 1934, a child of the late Noel and Margarete (LeClair) Caron.  She was a 1953 graduate of Lewiston High School. Connie was a Lewiston resident for 83 years.

Before her retirement, Connie was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Farmers Home Administration as an office manager.  Prior to that, Connie worked for many years at Alonzo J. Harriman Associates in Auburn.

Connie will always be remembered for her love of theatre and travel. She visited many wonderful destinations in the U.S. and Europe with her life-long friend, Jackie Turgeon.

She was an avid reader, music lover and enjoyed playing cards. She found great pleasure spending time with friends, sitting outside enjoying the view of ThornsCraig and a glass of wine.

Connie is predeceased by her beloved husband of 34 years, Bruce Butler, and all her siblings, Jerry, Bobby, Mickey, and Donna.

Connie was a loving mother and grandmother. She shared her loving kindness, friendship, and generosity with an extended “adopted”

family.

She is survived by her son, Scott Butler of Standish and his fiance Karen Foster of Standish; her grandsons Erik and Brandon Butler, as well as Tianna Newell and Kris Samora.  She will be greatly missed by long-time friend Phil Turgeon; and goddaughter Kim Appleton and her family.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at a later date.
