LEWISTON   –   Glenn G. Foster, 87, passed away at the Woodlands Memory Care Center in Lewiston, formally of 151 Main Street, Turner. He was born on March 31, 1931, to Bert and Blanche (Bryant) Foster in South Paris. He attended Leavitt Institute in Turner as well as School of Commerce in Auburn. Glenn worked at International Paper for 36 years then worked at the Auburn Middle School for 19 years and retired reluctantly at age 77. He loved baseball, and in his younger years ran his own baseball team. He was an avid Yankees fan. He loved bowling and had been secretary of the bowling league for several years. Glenn is survived by his wife Carmen (Rancourt) whom he married in 1959; his daughter, Kathryn Griffin; three grandchildren, Christopher DeBlois, Heather (Griffin) Wells and Brianna (Griffin) Van Scoy; nieces, Brenda Clark, Cheryl Bowers and Gail Herrick; two cousins, Ellis Bean Jr. and Keith Bean. He was predeceased by a daughter, Lisa DeBlois; and a half-brother, Gordon Wing. Services will be held at a later date in the spring.Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris.
