In the last week, President Trump decided unilaterally to pull our troops from Syria and Afghanistan with no thought as to the consequences. Our military leaders and member of Congress say this is wrong and dangerous.

Defense Secretary James Mattis submitted his resignation effective Feb. 28. Because his letter was critical of Trump’s actions, Trump is terminating his service as of Dec. 31.

His temporary replacement has no military or political experience.

For the 3rd time this year, Trump has shut down 25 percent of the government because he decided against the deal he agreed to. The reason: Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, and Ann Coulter said they didn’t like the deal and said he was weak.

Trump is creating chaos. Allies don’t believe what he says. There is something wrong when despots agree with him while allies and his advisers do not. He is a weak, lonely man who must be the center of attention.

Trump’s behavior is becoming more bizarre. It is destabilizing our country, markets, institutions and the world.

Republicans must force him to change his behavior. If he doesn’t, they must force him to resign, call for his impeachment or invoke the 25th Amendment.

Republicans must start putting the good of the country before partisan politics. Our country cannot afford two more years of Trump’s erratic behavior.
