SOUTH PARIS – Cory Robichaud, of Mechanic Falls, 79, passed away on Dec. 21, 2018, at the South Paris Veterans Home, after a courageous battle with cancer, her beloved husband, Bob, by her side. Cory was born on July 27, 1939, in Lewiston, the daughter of Edgar and Daisy Brown. Cory was a graduate of Hallowell High School, and met the love of her life, Robert Robichaud, while working at the West Shore Hotel in Sebago, where she was a chamber maid and he was working in the office. They were married on Oct. 25, 1958, and spent the next 60 years together as husband and wife. She was the mother of three boys, who were her pride and joy, and was a devoted mother and homemaker. She worked outside the home as well, before the children were born, at Paragon Glass and Knapp Shoe, and then again, later in life, at Space Coast Linen, American Home Companion, and the Cremation Society at Brevard Memorial in Florida. Cory was an excellent cook and loved sharing her talent with others. She often brought food to neighbors and friends and enjoyed looking after people. She had a large cookbook library and a very giving heart. She loved doing crafts and flower arrangements, and was very talented artistically. She loved watching the birds and squirrels from her living room window, and loved visits from family, friends and neighbors. She loved rides to the coast and being on the water; and boating, camping and fishing with her family as they were growing up. Cory also loved the Lord and put her faith in Him. She enjoyed reading her Bible and found great courage and comfort in its pages. She spent hours praying for family and friends, especially during her illness. Cory retired with her husband, Robert, to Merritt Island, Fla., in 1987. They returned to Maine in 2015, due to failing health, and to be with family.

Cory is survived by her husband, Robert Robichaud; her three children: Mike and wife, Lisa, Terry and wife, Debbie, and Todd Robichaud; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Murphy and brother, Larry Brown.

She is predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, Roger, Davis, and Louis; and also by grandson, Joshua Robichaud.

Services will be held at a future date.
