Thursday’s snow storm is making for a messy morning  and expected to end by 1 p.m.

Inland areas will pick up 1-3 inches of snow. Southern Maine, mid-coast Maine, excluding peninsulas and islands, and central Maine can expect 2-5 inches.

The sun will make a return during the afternoon Thursday, and temperatures will top out in the 30s.

Friday is looking quite nice in Vacationland. Highs will make a run at the low 40s.

Most of Saturday looks dry, but a storm tracking to our south may graze the state with a round of light rain and /or snow late afternoon and night.

Sunday will be the brighter of the two days this weekend but winds will be active out of the north.

Northerly winds will usher in a colder air mass for the first part of next week.

With cold air in place, a sizable snow storm is possible Tuesday into Wednesday. Stay tuned.
