OXFORD – Debra A. Nugent, 59, of Oxford passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at her home. She was born in Lowell, Mass. on July 8, 1959 the daughter of Frank and Theresa Feola Barnaby. She graduated from Bourne High School in Massachusetts and married Joseph R. (Rick) Nugent, Jr. on Sept. 25, 1982. She had been employed as a retail associate at KMart. She was a crafter and enjoyed gardening, she loved being outside. Debra spoiled her kids and grandkids, loved family time and gatherings especially the 4th of July and Christmas Eve dinners. She enjoyed sledding in the winter and her pool in the summer.

She is survived by her husband Rick of Oxford; her sons, Shawn Nugent and wife Brittany, Timothy Nugent and wife Bobbi, Corey Nugent and significant other Julia Poulin and Aaron Nugent, her daughter, Shikara McAlister and husband John; seven grandchildren, Paige Nugent, Wyatt Nugent, Piper Nugent, Ayden Nugent, Vivianne McAlister, Lydia McAlister and Kaylah Landis; her brothers, Daniel Barnaby and wife Linda of Plymouth, Mass., Dennis Barnaby and wife Joan, Jeffrey Barnaby, Donald Barnaby and John Barnaby all of South Carolina, and Edward Barnaby and his companion Ann of Sherman, her sister, Victoria Furness and husband Bill of Freetown, Mass.; her mother-in-law, Lena Nugent; and many nieces, nephews; and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Chisholm and Diane Gary, a brother, Gary Barnaby; and her father-in-law, Joseph R. Nugent Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Jan.10 at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Church in Norway. Family and friends may attend visitation on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at Oxford Hills Funeral Services, 1037 Main St., Oxford.
