RUMFORD – Elaine H. Hodgson, 92, formerly of Backkingdom Road in Mexico, passed away on Saturday Jan. 5, 2019 at Rumford Community Home.

She was born in Rumford, Maine on April 20, 1926 a daughter of Albert and Clarina (Trial) Richard.

Elaine was educated in Rumford schools and had lived in the River Valley all of her life.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Mexico.

Elaine enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, canning her vegetables, picking blackberries and making jams and pies.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Soubble, of Mexico, Michael Soubble and wife, Beth, of Rumford, and Jackie Libby and husband, Phil, of Mexico; and five grandchildren, Michael Soubble Jr., Christopher Lowell and wife, Celeste, Dustin Daigle, Heidi Cantelo and husband, James and Kyle Daigle and companion, Jasmine.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent Soubble, her second husband, Henry Hodgson; a son, Peter Soubble; and two brothers, Albert Richard and Reginald Richard.

Graveside services will be held at Gracelawn Memorial Park in the spring.
