AUBURN — A Poland man was indicted Tuesday by an Androscoggin County grand jury on 12 counts, including gross sexual assault, unlawful sexual contact and sexual abuse of a minor.

Arrested in October, Henry Clifford Cressey Jr., 41, of North Raymond Road remained at the Androscoggin County jail on a $10,000 secured bond.

According to an indictment, Cressey is charged with four counts of gross sexual assault, punishable by up to 30 years in prison on each charge; four counts of unlawful sexual contact, punishable by up to 10 years in prison on each charge; and four counts of sexual abuse of a minor.

In a sworn statement, a detective sergeant said Cressey sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl multiple times in August and September 2018 at a home owned by his mother.

Cressey is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 25.
