Every time it snows big up here in Maine, you’ll see those dreadful images posted across social media – pictures of beaches and palm trees; of grinning men and women in shorts and goofy hats and not a flake of snow in sight. Our former neighbors, now spending their winters in Florida, Phoenix or L.A., sure do love to gloat, don’t they? Snowbirds, we call them.
