LEWISTON – David Ladd Baim, 48, of Hebron, Maine, passed away from a sudden illness at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Monday Jan. 7, 2019, with his loving family by his side. He was born on Oct. 24, 1970, in Camden, N.J., the son of Trudell (Kinney) Baim and the late Major David Holcomb Baim. In 1981, the family moved to Maine where David lived until his untimely death. He loved spending summers at the family camp, on Ambajejus Lake, where he was an avid swimmer. He also enjoyed watching The Food Network and going out to eat. In spite of his suffering due to his disabilities, he was such a sweet and happy person that he was greatly beloved by anyone who knew him.

David is survived by his mother, Trudell Baim of Hebron; his sister, Dr. Penelope Block and husband, Tyler, of Harrison, Tenn., and twin niece and nephew, Arabella and Amory; his auntie, Cheryl Hansen and cousin, Hugh; auntie, Sherrill Kinney, and cousins, Michael, Emily, and Andrew; and uncle, Timothy Tapley, and cousin, Justin Tapley.

David was predeceased by his father, Major David Holcomb Baim; uncle, Leonard “Shine” Kinney; and his grandparents, Sylvia and Lester Tapley.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 13, at The Fortin Group Funeral Home in Auburn at 3 p.m. Committal services will be held at a future date at Woodville Cemetery near Lincoln and Millinocket, Maine.
