NORWAY — Each January, at the annual meeting of the Norway Museum and Historical Society, the year’s volunteers are celebrated. This year’s annual meeting is called “Souper Thanks.”

A variety of delicious homemade soups, such as chili, broccoli cheese and Portuguese kielbasa with vegetables, will be served family style at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at the museum building on Main Street across from Ari’s Pizza. Coffee and dessert follow. The meal is free.

This year’s Father Don McAllister Volunteer of the Year Award goes to Tim Adams, who was involved with several construction projects that have improved the building. As a trustee, Adams is appreciated for his decision making. He and his family participated in events held at the society, such as the Marigold Tea Room.

Sadly, Father Don and longtime trustee, Bill Damon, passed away this year, and tributes will be made in their honor. In addition, a vote for Bruce Watts as a new trustee will be taken.

Friends and members of the society are welcome to attend the meeting, have homemade soup and catch up on the news of the society. New members are always welcome.
