Radio station WXOL-FM may soon have a new owner and new sound, according to its president and general manager, David Dulac. The Fuller-Jeffrey Broadcasting Corp., owners of WBLM-FM as well as stations In Biddeford, Kittery and Portsmouth, is seeking to take over WXOL. Dulac said Friday. The 50,000-watt station, owned by the Airborne Broadcasting Co. plays mostly oldies, ranging from Elvis Presley and the Beatles to Chicago and Elton John. Because the directors of Fuller-Jeffrey, are already very happy with the station’s format, Dulac said it is unlikely WXOL will switch to hard rock, easy listening or classical any time soon.
