PORTLAND – Matthew Perry Buckman, 31, a resident of Jay, passed away, Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, following complications from heart surgery. He was born June 2, 1987, in Farmington, the son of Brett White and Virginia Gordon. He attended Jay High School. On Jan. 6, 2017, in Jay, he married Monica Morgan.

Matthew worked as a builder for Brock Services formerly NASCO Scaffolding Company.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially with his wife, Monica, and their daughter, Gabriella. He is survived by wife, Monica Morgan; his daughter, Gabriella Perry, both of Jay; his father, Brett White and wife, Gayle, of Livermore Falls; his mother, Virginia Gordon of Farmington; grandfather, Richard Perry and wife, Karen, of Knoxville, Tenn.; grandmother, Sheila Flagg of Jay; siblings, Ashley Miller and husband, Carl, of Sullivan, Megghan White of Farmington, Travis Gordon of Farmington, and Chelsie, Josh and Jake of Livermore Falls; sister-in-law, Crista Gordon of Farmington; and many aunts and uncles.  He was predeceased by his brother, Seth Gordon; and uncle, Richard Perry.
