RUMFORD — Maine Event Comedy presents the hilarious Tuck Tucker at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at 49 Franklin’s Mystic Theater, 49 Franklin St. Featured acts include Boston’s Will Martin and David McLaughlin, along with Maine favorites Mike Gray, Leonard Kimble and Jed Bloom.

Tucker’s verbal wit and physical comedy have made him a favorite throughout New England. He’s a founding member of Portland’s Running with Scissors improv group and was a finalist on HBO’s “Lucky 21 Comedy Showcase.” He’s performed at the Hartford Funny Bone, the Rhode Island Comedy Connection and the Comedy Nest in Montreal.

Martin charms audiences with the vibe of a childless fun dad. He recently performed his one-man show, “Total Loss,” to a sold-out crowd. He’s worked the Comedy Studio, the Motor City Comedy Festival and the Women in Comedy Festival. He also co-produces Pavement Comedy Night in Boston and is a member of the ImprovBoston National Touring Co.

McLaughlin hails from Somerville, Massachusetts, and is not shy about taking his familial issues to the stage. He’s a regular at the Comedy Studio, was a 2018 Salem Comedy Festival selection.

Gray is living proof that a horrible childhood can be turned around into an equally horrible adulthood. He was a finalist in the 2017 Best Bar Comic Competition.

As charming as he is funny, Kimble reached the semifinals in the Tightest Five contest and made the final five in the Wednesday Night Live competition in Auburn.

Bloom, a regular in the Portland scene, is a husband and father, and as funny as he is relatable. His goal as a comedian is to not get fired from his day job as a teacher.

The show is for ages 18-plus. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a cash-only pub menu, and a full bar will be available.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 day of show. Advance tickets may be purchased at Bartash’s and All That Jazz on Congress Street or online at 49franklin.com.
