100 years ago: 1919
A little group of YMCA workers met Friday morning at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce headquarters for the discussion of plans pertinent to the program for boys’ work, which will be in force when the new and enlarged program for YMCA work throughout Maine is put into practice.
50 years ago: 1969
Members of Girl Scout Troop 288 enjoyed a skating party on Monday at Pettengill Park. Leaders attending were Mrs. James Betsch, Mrs. David Sjostram and Mrs. Erlon Rand. Next week the girls will hold a sliding party at the Betsch home on Turner Street.
25 years ago: 1994
The Auburn Exchange Club will have as guest speaker James Bazinet, a teacher from Montello School in Lewiston, when the group meets today at noon at Rolandeau’s. Bazinet will explain a computer program the school wishes to initiate for the students.
