AUBURN – Police Wednesday quickly arrested a 27-year-old Auburn man after a suspect walked into a Big Apple store on Main Street at 2 a.m. and demanded cigarettes and cash.

Police arrested Ryan Lizotte on Pleasant Street in Auburn at about 4:45 a.m. He’s being held at the Androscoggin County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.

In a news release Wednesday morning, police said they responded to a call from the Big Apple at 296 Main St. about a robbery.

“Initial reports indicated that a male walked into the store and demanded money and cigarettes. No weapons were displayed. The male fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money,” according to the statement.

Police located Lizotte on Pleasant Street after a brief investigation.
