DEAR SUN SPOTS: Thanks for all you do! I’m wondering if someone in the New Auburn area is available to shovel a walkway regularly and efficiently?

— Denise, no town

ANSWER: It’s a wonderful thing to have dependable people to help with this chore, and especially for seniors living alone it’s a godsend. I’m putting the word out! If anyone in the neighborhood shovels snow or has someone to recommend, please write in.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding the Jan. 21 Sun Spots about eBay sellers, I’m an eBay consignment seller and would like to be added to the Rolodex. My company, ABC Cybersell Inc. is in Lovell, but I’ll travel anywhere to help customers. My number is 207-925-3242.

— Linda, Lovell

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding the two readers who need help with eBay, I have sold many things on eBay and would be happy to assist in any way I can. I live in Lewiston and don’t mind traveling in the Androscoggin area to either get items to sell or simply assist from their home to guide them through it. I can be contacted at lizbaker72@yahoo.com.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Literacy Volunteers-Androscoggin will hold the next tutor training workshops Feb. 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Auburn Public Library. We have many adult students waiting for help with their educational and life skill goals, from many countries, including the U.S. There are also adults with developmental disabilities who are highly motivated to become more independent by increasing their literacy skills. If you are 21 or older, read at least at a grade 12 level, and have patience, good listening skills and creativity, you have the traits of a good tutor.

Registration is required by Feb. 11. For more information, call 207-753-6658, email literacy@literacyvolunteersandro.org, or check out our website at www.literacyvolunteersandro.org.
