NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine announces its February events. 

Yoga Warriors — 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27, at Posabilities, 15 Tannery St., Norway. This free gentle yoga class will support healthy living for individuals facing the challenges of cancer through gentle movement and breath, supportive restorative yoga postures, and guided meditation and relaxation. Banding Together To Restore — 9 to 10 a.m. Thursdays, Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28, at Richard Bader Physical Therapy, 176 Main St., Norway. In this exercise class, the focus is on regaining motion and strength through guided instruction using stretching and colored elastic workout bands. Lori Britting leads the class, encouraging participants to work within their ability to safely obtain their desired goals which could include improving energy and the ability to move easier while carrying out daily tasks and enjoying life. Yoga for Wellness — Kat Larsen will teach the class at the center, 199 Main St., Norway. Dates and times to be announced on the center’s Facebook page, on crcofwm.org or call 207-890-0329. Class focuses on breathing, movement and relaxing meditation while seated or standing.

Self-Reflexology — 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at the center, 199 Main St. Karen Tibbetts will demonstrate how applying pressure to reflex points may help improve circulation and reduce body stress.

Beading Project — 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Lively Accents, 310 Main St., Norway. Learn how to make something with beads.

Beginner Ukulele with Nancy Hohmann — 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1. Nancy and members of her ukulele group will bring extra ukuleles and teach the basics.

Drum Circle — There are two sessions on Saturday, Feb. 2: Beginners from 10 a.m. to noon, advanced from 1 to 3 p.m. at Deering Memorial Community Center, 39 Main St., South Paris. All drummers are welcome. Bring a friend or caregiver; drums are available to borrow. At noon there will be a potluck lunch, bring a dish if desired. Participants may stay as long as they want. Wellness Share — 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Deering Memorial Community Center, 39 Main St., South Paris. Everyone is welcome for an introduction to Reiki practice and self-care. Massage, reflexology and polarity will also be available. At noon there will be a potluck lunch. Participants may stay as long as they want. In case of inclement weather, when SAD 17 cancels school, the Cancer Resource Center will also be closed and activities canceled. The center will not be open Tuesdays in February.

The center is at 199 Main St. in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building. Hours are Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers programs and comfort items, free to anyone impacted by cancer.
