LEWISTON – Mary Nemcik died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, with her two loving daughters by her side.

Mary was born in Melville, Saskatchewan, Canada, on June 24, 1927, the daughter of Mary and Nick Pitsol. She worked many years at Jay Brush in Brunswick. Mary was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish, in Lewiston, and previously at St. Andrew’s Church, in Pejepscot.

Mary was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Micheal Nemcik; son, Joseph; brother, John Pitsol and sister, Kathrine Gerac.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kathleen Taylor and husband, William of Cumberland, and Debra Leeman and husband, Richard, of Lewiston; five grandchildren, Samantha Kopack and husband, Kevin, Robert and Jesse Leeman, Nestor and Weston Taylor.

Mary’s family would like to thank all of the staff and doctors at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for their compassionate and caring treatment that they provided for Mary. It was greatly appreciated.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 4-7 p.m. at the Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Lisbon Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus St., Lewiston, ME. A committal service will be held in the spring.
