WILTON — Alden Sylvester is bringing art, soil science and medical cannabis to town at his new store, the Power Plant, opening Friday.

Conceived by Sylvester and HBC Maine, the store will offer Maine-grown medical cannabis to patients. The store will also sell specialized soil amendments and tools for growers of food and medicinal plants, to balance the soil and grow healthier plants. Maine artisan goods such as burl bowls, paintings and other handmade works will also be sold.

Customers must be 18 years or older with a valid Maine state ID and a medical cannabis card to purchase medical cannabis at the store.

The Power Plant will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and Monday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. It is at 410 U.S. Route 2E, Wilton.
