DURHAM – It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jesse James Cleveland, 29, of Durham, on Sunday Jan. 27, 2019. He was born March 19, 1989, in Lewiston, to Michelle (White) Cleveland and David Cleveland.

He completed his secondary education at Brunswick High School and was a Dean’s list student at Central Maine Community College. He was scheduled to graduate in May.

Jesse was very intelligent with a curious mind and loved the process of learning. He was a loving, caring person, loyal to family and friends and very protective of those he loved. He was a true gentlemen always reaching out to help people in trouble.

Jesse enjoyed motorcycles, motocross, reading, computers, gaming, and was a proud gun owner.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his sisters Christine and Ashlee Cleveland; his nephew Nickali Gaudet; his maternal grandmother Lucille Spencer; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends. He will be greatly missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday Feb. 2 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the First Parish Congregational Church, 422 Hallowell Rd., Pownal. A service at the church will follow immediately after visitation.
