AUBURN – John F. Henry, 61, of Hartford, died, Feb. 3, 2019 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born on July 26, 1957, in Lewiston, a son of, Robert and Mildred (Davenport) Henry.  He attended local schools, graduating from Buckfield High School in 1975.

John worked at George’s Pizza in Auburn for over 25 years.

He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoyed, hunting, fishing and playing cards.

John is survived by his daughters, Jodi Henry and her companion, David of Livermore, Jessica Henry and her companion, Jodi of Winterport, Jamie Gammon and her husband, Travis of Poland, and Jenna Henry and her companion, Michael of Buckfield; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Stanley and his wife, Marilyn of New Gloucester, sisters, Betty Young and her husband, Carl of South Paris, Donna Darling and her husband, Michael of Sumner; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Dorothy Young.

Special thanks to his cousin, Jeremy Luce and his wife, Melissa who took great care of him as he resided with them for the last three years.  Also, the family was very grateful to the nurses and staff of the Hospice House their care as well.

At John’s request, there will be no funeral service. The family will announce the day and time of a celebration of his life this spring which will be held at the family farm in Hartford. Arrangements are in the care of the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris.
