LEWISTON — The next La Rencontre at L/A’s Gendron Franco Center will feature one of the area’s most popular duos presenting a variety of love songs for Valentine’s Day. Phil House and Kathy Haley will present the program at the next La Rencontre (the gathering), at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14.
La Rencontre is a multi-language event and not restricted to French-speakers or even those of Franco descent. All are welcome to attend this fun monthly meal and event. The home cooked meal is Chicken Fricassee, peas and carrots, rolls and Red Jell-O for dessert.
After the meal, guests will be treated to a show by two popular local musical artists performing a selection of love songs. Pianist Phil House and singer Kathy Haley have been entertaining audiences together in Maine for decades. After the program, several raffle prizes will be drawn.
The cost of the meal and the program is $12 per person. The doors and the bar open at 10 a.m.
