LEWISTON — Mitch Thomas, executive director at The Dolard & Priscilla Gendron Franco Center, and Bert Dutil, bus trip leader, will take a group on a maple sugar trip to Quebec on Saturday, April 6.

The Cabane a Sucre in Lac-Megantic is the destination. Quebec musicians will provide entertainment during the meal at Cabane a Sucre.

The public is invited to join those already signed up for the tour. All ages are welcome and families are encouraged to attend. Departure by bus from the Gendron Franco Center will be at 6:45 a.m. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be offered, starting at 6:15 a.m. Return time is expected to be by 7 p.m. There will be a brief stop for shopping before returning to Maine.

The cost is $75 per person. A valid U.S. Passport or PassCard is needed for travel to Canada. A home-cooked feast at the site, live music by local artists, bus fare and all-day parking are included with each ticket. Space is limited.
