LEWISTON – Nicholas G. Meserve, 34, of Lewiston, died Feb. 8, 2019, as a result of an underlying medical condition. Meserve was born Sept. 22, 1984, in Lewiston, the son of Walter G, Humphrey and Michelle Wentworth. He attended Auburn and Gray-New Gloucester Schools, where he graduated in 2003.

He worked as a corrections officer for the Androscoggin Sheriff’s Department and in 2009, he graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Nick was hired by the Lewiston Police Department as a patrol officer that same year. Because of Nick’s love and dedication to serving his community, with a special love for children, he joyfully volunteered his time to Camp Postcard as well as Special Olympics, in which his brother Brandon was involved in. He was also a member of the Past Time Club.

Nicholas had a great love for skateboarding and the Bruins. He loved reading and Halloween, his favorite holiday. Most of all, he loved spending time with his beloved daughter Skylar, dressing up for father-daughter dances, doing arts and crafts and spending time at their favorite spot, the beach.

Nick is survived by his father, Walter Humphrey of Auburn, his stepmother Ann Briggs and husband John Briggs of Lewiston; his brother Brandon Meserve of Turner, his sister Breanna Myrick and her husband Casey Myrick and nephew Zayden of Turner, his brother Dan Humphrey of Lewiston, his daughter Skylar Meserve, her mother Ashley Meserve and her life partner Adam Jones, their children Sadie, Hannah and Parker of Lisbon, as well as extended family, countless cherished friends and “Pete the Cat”.
