Members of Mary Dillingham Chapter, D.A.R., are reminded that tickets for the luncheon of Feb. 22 should be procured as soon as possible. The luncheon, which will be served at the Dewitt Hotel, will be one of the most attractive affairs of the winter. The guest of the day will be Mrs. Alice B. Steele of Farmington.

50 years ago: 1969

Miss Jean Twaddle, daughter of Mrs. Louise Twaddle Jr. of Auburn, entertained a group of friends at a buffet supper preceding the annual Valentine Dance at Webster Junior High School.

25 years ago: 1994

The Hillside Family Riders Snowmobile Club will sponsor a Snowfest, which will be held on Saturday on No Name Pond, Lewiston. The day will be full of activities for the entire family, including a children’s fishing derby, an obstacle course for children, blind man’s bluff, radar run, poker run, and hay rides, as well as a concession stand. Representatives from Reggie’s Golf Carts & Ski-Doo and Tri-Sports Inc. will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After the outdoor activities, a bean supper will be served at Jillson’s Farm in Sabattus from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
