ORONO — The Courageous Steps Project will be inviting local high school Unified Basketball teams to pound the court once again this March.
The third annual Unified Basketball Fun-Day will be held 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 8, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Orono High School gymnasium, with entrance in the back parking lot by the athletic fields.
Admission is free for senior citizens, $3 for students, $5 for adults and $8 for families. Cash and checks only. Concessions available through Orono High School Boosters Club. Raffle tickets, logowear and other items for sale with cash, checks and credit/debit cards accepted. Donations are encouraged and will support Unified Basketball programs, and our organization, which continues to strive to help children and young adults with developmental challenges.
The presenting sponsor is Milligan’s Landing & Embroidery, along with other big sponsors/supporters including First National Bank, Katahdin Trust Company, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, Van Syckle Kia, Spectrum Healthcare Partners, United Insurance, Spotlight Cinemas, Dairy Queen, and Greenway Equipment Sales.
